Ivan comes from a well-known local family: his father built many of the houses around Wynnum and Manly. He is a panelbeater by trade whose speciality was Jaguar restoration.
Ivan re-leathers bellows with the same finesse as Jaguar bucket seats, and also made all of the pipework for the restoration of the Nazareth Lutheran Pipe Organ. He came to organ building to try something different and less greasy. His hobbies are fishing and boating.
